Human body can bear only up to 45 del (unit) of pain. Yet at time of giving birth, a mother feels up to 57 del (unit) of pain. This is similar to 20 bones getting fractured at a time. Can u imagine it now, the mother’s pain & love? Even more importantly, there is no simple way to quantify the pain of childbirth. The pain varies widely based on a huge variety of factors, some of which include: The woman’s pelvic shape. There are four pelvic shapes, some easier to birth with than others. The woman’s position. Laying on the back closes up the pelvis by up to 30% compared to positions such as squatting, sometimes making labor longer and more painful. The baby’s position. "To other countries I may go as a tourist, but to India I come as a pilgrim". These words of Martin Luther King.Jr is another gem to the crown about the greatness of our secular India and our belief  on almighty. This incident about the world famous Madurai Meenatchi Amman temple is an evidence to the belief that we have on God. Malik kafur , a cruel king who caused blood river to run in all the kingdoms he invaded, captured  Madurai. He was keen to destroy the Temples or atleast the moorthi's of the temples. When this news approached  people, a group of 5 Siva chariyars i.e   holy priests wanted to save  Lord Sundareswarar's idol. They created a dolmen in front of the Karpagraham and placed a duplicate idol in front of it. With teary eyes, they placed  the original moorthi of    Lord  Sundareswarar  inside the Karpagraham with full alankara and a lamp .  Malik kafur broke a part of  the duplicate moorthi . There was no worship in temple for 48 years.
